In Star Wars Villainous: Power of the Dark Side, each player takes control of one of five Star Wars characters: Darth Vader, Asajj Ventress, Kylo Ren, Moff Gideon, or General Grievous. Each player has their own villain deck, fate deck, player board, and 3D character. On a turn, the active player moves their character to a different location on their player board, takes one or more of the actions visible on that space (often by playing cards from their hand), then refills their hand to four cards. Cards are allies, items, effects, and other things. You need to use your cards to fulfill your unique win condition. One of the actions allows you to choose another player, draw two cards from that player's fate deck, then play one of them on that player's board, covering two of the four action spaces on one of that player's locations. The fate deck contains heroes, items, and effects from that villain's storyline, and these cards allow other players to mess with that particular villain. Depending on their villain's unique power, players can also use their villain's "ambition" to perform actions that power effects based on the villain's use of the Force, strategic leadership, or sheer luck. The game also incorporates villain-specific missions and rules for iconic ships and transports from all corners of the Star Wars galaxy.

In Star Wars Villainous: Revenge at Last, players choose to play one of two iconic villains from the Star Wars galaxy: Darth Maul or Captain Phasma. For players who select Captain Phasma, they have to channel the military leader's "Ambition", keeping her best soldiers in play after a "Vanish" action to establish a First Order Stormtrooper Officer at each location. As the ruthless commander, players can even sacrifice allies to promote others with the effect "Forged in Battle". Players taking on the role of Darth Maul within the game will need to take revenge on the Jedi by recruiting a hero as their apprentice, building up their strength, and manipulating them to beat another hero at the top of the sector. Darth Maul will use his allies not to vanquish heroes, but to weaken them. When players take a "Vanquish" action, they do not discard the hero, but instead give them a -1 strength token. This standalone game also incorporates villain-specific missions and rules for iconic ships and transports from all corners of the Star Wars galaxy. Villains in Star Wars Villainous: Revenge at Last can also be mixed with those in Star Wars Villainous: Power of the Dark Side or Star Wars Villainous: Scum and Villainy.

In JAWS, one player takes on the role of the killer shark off Amity Island, while the other 1-3 players take on the roles of Brody, Hooper and Quint to hunt the shark. Character and event cards define player abilities and create game actions for humans and the shark. Gameplay is divided into two acts — Amity Island and The Orca — played on a double-sided board to replicate the film's story: In the Amity Island phase, the shark menaces swimmers and avoids capture. Other players attempt to pinpoint the shark's location and save swimmers from shark attacks. In the Orca phase, played on the reverse side of the game board, Brody, Hooper and Quint are aboard the sinking ship engaging in a climactic battle against the shark, while using additional action and strategy cards to defend the Orca from targeted shark attacks. If humans kill the shark, they win; if the shark attack on the Orca succeeds, the great white shark wins.
