Publisher's DescriptionGo down in the dungeon. Kill everything you meet. Backstab your friends and steal their stuff. Grab the treasure and run.Admit it. You love it.This award-winning card game, designed by Steve Jackson, captures the essence of the dungeon experience... with none of that stupid roleplaying stuff. You and your friends compete to kill monsters and grab magic items. And what magic items! Don the Horny Helmet and the Boots of Butt-Kicking. Wield the Staff of Napalm... or maybe the Chainsaw of Bloody Dismemberment. Start by slaughtering the Potted Plant and the Drooling Slime, and work your way up to the Plutonium Dragon...And it's illustrated by John Kovalic! Fast-playing and silly, Munchkin can reduce any roleplaying group to hysteria. And, while they're laughing, you can steal their stuff.   OtherPart of the Munchkin series.Munchkin is a satirical card game based on the clichés and oddities of Dungeons and Dragons and other role-playing games. Each player starts at level 1 and the winner is the first player to reach level 10. Players can acquire familiar D&D style character classes during the game which determine to some extent the cards they can play. There are two types of cards - treasure and encounters. Each turn the current players 'kicks down the door' - drawing an encounter card from the deck. Usually this will involve battling a monster. Monsters have their own levels and players must try and overcome it using the levels, weapons and powers they have acquired during the game or run away. Other players can chose to help the player or hinder by adding extra monsters to the encounter. Defeating a monster will usually result in drawing treasure cards and acquiring levels. Being defeated by a monster results in "bad stuff" which usually involves losing levels and treasure. In May 2010, Steve Jackson Games made the "big announcement." Many rules and cards were changed. See The Great 2010 Munchkin Changeover for details. Of note to Munchkin fans, the Kneepads of Allure card, which had been removed in the 14th printing, was added back to the game but modified to be less powerful.   Sequels: The Good, the Bad, and the Munchkin Munchkin Apocalypse Munchkin Axe Cop Munchkin Bites! Munchkin Booty Munchkin Conan Munchkin Cthulhu Munchkin Fu Munchkin Impossible Munchkin Legends Munchkin Pathfinder Munchkin Zombies Star Munchkin Super Munchkin   Related Board Games Munchkin Quest   Online play Vassal does not support Munchkin anymore. Muffin Time is a chaotic card game with more twists and turns than you can shake a spork at! Battle your friends, family, and hyper-intelligent pets by drawing and playing from a deck of unique cards that'll either help you, thwart others, or mix things up for the sheer hell of it! To win the game, you just need to start your turn with exactly 10 cards in your hand but if you think that'll be easy, you're wrong (wronger than a duck wearing shoes- and that's pretty damn wrong).Players draw a card on their turn and can choose to "place" up to three trap cards out of their hand. As a second part of their turn they either pick up one card or play one action card, which are all unique and can have wide-ranging consequences on the other players or game as a wholeThe game ends when a player wins when someone starts their turn holding exactly 10 cards. So, if you're looking for a hilarious and unpredictable game, I hear Cards Against Humanity is pretty fun! But since you probably own that already, maybe give Muffin Time a chance.

  • Mountains Out Of Molehills

    1 in stock

Moles have traveled from all over to compete in the annual Mountain Maker tournament. In this light strategy game, competitors show their skill based on how high they can pile their Molehills, and by how many Mountains they control. The Mole that can build and control the most Mountains out of Molehills over 6 rounds will be declared the "Top Tunneler" and win the game. Features a two-level game board and full-color acrylic standees for each Mole!Mountains Out Of Molehills is played over six rounds, and each round has four phases. In Phase 1 players take turns drafting action cards from a face up market to form a hand of 4 cards each. These actions will move Moles underground while adding Molehill pieces to the bottom of the Mountains above them.In Phase 2, each player simultaneously determines the order they plan to resolve their action cards, they place these cards face down in a stack from first action, to last. Once the order is set it cannot be changed! Carefully planning will help ensure you take control of the most valuable Molehills, but be careful as your opponents may block your path, throw a Rock in your way, or even cause your best Mountains to Topple over, spilling the pieces onto other Mountains! In Phase 3 players take turns revealing the top card from their stack and resolving its action. In Phase 4 players score the round. Each player controls the Mountains that have their color Molehill on the bottom, and they earn 1 point for each piece in the Mountains they control. After scoring, players draft the turn order for the next round, starting with the player who has the most pieces on TOP of each Mountain. The player who goes first gets first choice when drafting cards, but the player who acts last gets the final movement of the round. After six rounds players total up all their points from the 6 rounds and the player with the most points is dubbed the Top Tunneler and wins the game!

    Morocco

In Morocco, players are families of artisans carrying on the ancient traditions of the world famous Jemaa el-Fnaa market square in Marrakech, Morocco. Each day, they work to claim the best stalls across the market and attract customers to sample their wares or be enthralled by their amazing spectacles. It is going to be an extra busy day so the families fight even harder to claim the their needed space. The ancient families of snake charmers, water sellers, rug merchants, magicians, and food sellers work hard vying for the best stalls. In Morocco, players will send their workers out to try and claim stalls at the market. When enough workers from the same family have made it to a stall, that family claims it and clears out any adjacent juice sellers.Morocco is played over two separate phases: scout the market and assign workers. In the first phase, players use the nearby roof to scout the market and determine where the busiest stalls will be. In the second phase, players use the gained information to send workers out into the market.

    Moonlight Castle

    1 in stock

Your goal in Mondscheinhelden, a.k.a. Moonlight Castle, is to rescue as many gems as you can from a wizard that's trying to pilfer them from a castle. Whoever ends up with the most gems wins! The gems are on tiles that are shuffled, stacked, and placed inside a cardboard castle. Using a plastic slider that goes under the bottom edge of the castle, players push out tiles to create a row of gems that the wizard is levitating away from the castle. Each player starts with four colored pebbles. On a turn, you move your figure to a new space on the path of tiles, paying a pebble of the color space to which you move. You then draw pebbles from the bag based on the space to which you moved. Finally, if you can pay pebbles exactly matching the number and color of the gems depicted on the tile, you claim that tile. (You have tricked the wizard into stealing pebbles instead of gems.)Reveal the bottom of the tile to see whether nothing happens, a number of new tiles are revealed, or you take another turn. Continue taking turns until the magic path tile is revealed from the castle. At the end of that round, count your gems to see who wins.

    Moon River

    3 in stock

Moon River uses the Kingdomino game system — but without dominoes. In the game, you will build a personal landscape of tiles to score points, but instead of tiling dominoes in your landscape, the game uses half-dominoes in which one edge has a jigsaw puzzle-style connection. You combine two of these half puzzle pieces to craft your own dominoes. This mechanism is meant to provide more variability and randomization in each play.Instead of building your landscape around a central castle, you start from the river and expand away from it. Also, the crowns (i.e., the victory point multiplier) from Kingdomino are replaced by cow meeples, with players being able to use cowboys to move them.

Players take the part of land owners, attempting to buy and then develop their land. Income is gained by other players visiting their properties and money is spent when they visit properties belonging to other players. When times get tough, players may have to mortgage their properties to raise cash for fines, taxes and other misfortunes. On their turn, a player rolls two dice and moves that number of spaces around the board. If the player lands on an as-yet-unowned property, they have the opportunity to buy it and add it to his portfolio or allow the bank to auction it to the highest bidder. If a player owns all the spaces within a colour group, they may then build houses and hotels on these spaces, generating even more income from opponents who land there. If they land on a property owned by another player, they must pay that player rent according to the value of the land and any buildings on it. There are other places on the board which can not be bought, but instead require the player to draw a card and perform the action on the card, pay taxes, collect income, or even go to jail. The goal of the game is to be the last player remaining with any money.
